HUSKISSON BLAK MARKETS  - A celebration of South Coast Aboriginal Culture

On Sunday 20 April 2025 The Huskisson Blak Markets will run for the second time at White Sands Park from 9am till 2pm

The Markets will feature over 20 unique stalls selling a range of authentic artworks, craft, bushfoods, clothing and more from the NSW South Coast Aboriginal community.

The Blak Markets provides Aboriginal artists, designers and small business owners a live marketplace to showcase their wares. This unique event also allows locals and visitors to the area to connect directly with artists to engage and learn while making ethical purchases of authentic Aboriginal products.

First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation are partnering once again with Djiriba Waagura, to run the Huskisson Blak Markets on the South Coast with a united vision to showcase local Aboriginal arts & culture.

According to Matt Simms, Director of Djiriba Waagura, the community have been calling for the return of the Blak Markets since it first run a year ago in Huskisson. “The Huskisson Blak Markets is an important partnership showcasing our makers and increasing economic opportunities for local Aboriginal businesses, “ Matt said.

As part of the Investing in Rural Community Futures Program, Bendigo Bank Community Enterprise Foundation is partnering with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal to fund the Huskisson Blak Markets.
