Blak Markets at Hukisson

On Sunday 20 April 2025 The Huskisson Blak Markets will run for the second time at White Sands Park from 9am till 2pm

The Markets will feature over 20 unique stalls selling a range of authentic artworks, craft, bushfoods, clothing and more from the NSW South Coast Aboriginal community.

The Blak Markets are run by First Hand Solutions Aboriginal Corporation, which provides Aboriginal artists, designers and small business owners a live marketplace to showcase their wares. This unique event allows locals and visitors to the area to connect directly with artists to engage and learn while making ethical purchases of authentic Aboriginal products.

First Hand Solutions are partnering with Djiriba Waagura, to run the first Blak Markets on the South Coast with a united vision to showcase local Aboriginal arts & culture.

As part of the Investing in Rural Community Futures Program, Bendigo Bank Community Enterprise Foundation is partnering with the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal to fund the Huskisson Blak Markets.

  • 9.30am welcome to country and smoking ceremony,

  • 10:00am Dance performance by Djirirba Waagura

  • 10:00am All day weaving workshop with Amethyst Misty

  • 11:00am Singing Richard Luland

  • 12.40pm Dance performance by Djirirba Waagura

  • 1pm Richard Luland

  • 2pm market closes
