Blak Markets Mothers Day Festival
Bare Island
The Blak Markets 8th birthday celebrations will kick off on Bare Island on Sunday 9 May with a special mothers day performance by First Nations star Mitch Tambo who will be launching his new single ‘Dreamtime Princess’ at the Blak Markets to celebrate women and their achievements.
Mitch wants to use the song to let women in the Aboriginal community – particularly mums - know that they come from the oldest living continual culture on the planet.
CEO and co-founder of the Blak Markets, Peter Cooley, said it is exciting to be celebrating eight years of running the Blak Markets in such a unique destination with the largest line-up of stallholders.
The Blak Markets are conducted in partnership with Randwick City Council and are held in the NSW Parks and Wildlife Service, Kamay-Botany Bay National Park.
